History of Bekerovka
Becherovka is a popular herbal liqueur that originated in the Czech Republic. Becherovka was first produced in 1807 by Josef Vitus Becher, a pharmacist from the town of Karlovy Vary in what is now the Czech Republic. The town was famous for its thermal springs, and people would travel there for their supposed medicinal benefits.
Becher initially created the liqueur as a stomach tonic and a remedy for digestive problems. The exact recipe of Becherovka is a well-guarded secret, known only to a few people. It is made from a blend of herbs, spices, and botanicals, with a base of high-quality alcohol.
